Statement
I usually make illustrative, narrative, figurative pieces in porcelain, either standalone works or figure groups. I make up short stories based on my experiences and observations and then transform them into basically figurative ceramic works. This hand built piece has formed the basis for my recent series of works titled “Stories” consisting of bird-headed, human-bodied single figures. This piece has textured body with iron spangles.
